Unsurpassed for nearly two decades, the new Half/Pack continues to redefine front loader performance with the evolution of features like our patented clamp-on arms, John Deere cylinders, and the latest in electronic controls and on-board diagnostics. Combined with our renowned interlaced subframe, high-tensile steel construction, Shur-Lock tailgate locks, you can be sure you’ve got the most productive, durable, safe and easy to maintain front loader available.
To help keep your equipment operating at its peak, all Heil units are backed by a worldwide network of distributors and service centres, the industry’s first dedicated manufacturer-based training facility as well as mobile training centres. Not to mention Heil’s centruy-old heritage of industry leadership and commitment to customer satisfaction.
Advanced robotic welding ensures that key Heil components like the Half/Pack’s 8000 lb rated arms and reinforced tailgate fit more precisely, look better and offer greater consistency from part to part, unit to unit.
Making Your Life Easier
Our patented clamp-on arms allow quicker and easier replacement of damaged arms compared to traditional weld-on, or bolt-on arms. Plus we do our best to prevent damage in the first place by using only high tensile steels in the construction of our famous interlaced subframe and double-walled hopper sides. With more than a century of refuse manufacturing leadership, you can be sure we know how to make trucks that make your life easier.
Quality is in the Details
Little things can make all the difference when it comes to keeping your equipment on the route day after day. That’s why Heil uses oxidation resistant gold-tipped connectors in all critical electrical equipment. In fact, our proximity switches are the highest quality available, exceeding even military expectations. Additionally, new John Deere cushioned arm cylinders prevent system shocks and help the arms fucntion more smoothly and quietly. Also, the hydraulic system is protected by industry leading S-micron filtration.
Everyone notices the Shur-Lock tailgate locks that have long been a Heil standard. But it doesn’t stop there; we’ve also added a tailgate-mounted roof access ladder to assist in maintenance.
Leading The Way
For more than 100 years, Heil has set the standard for quality, innovation, and value. With the PT 1000, we’ve raised the bar even higher.
The PT 1000’s three cubic yard hopper and 15 second cycle time put it in a class by itself when it comes to performance in a mid-priced rear loader. With payloads up to 1,000 pounds per yard…well, class is adjourned.
When it comes to toughness, heavier isn’t always better. Heil has long known that high tensile steels perform better over the long run, allowing steel to give before it cracks or breaks. This simple concept keeps Heil refuse bodies on the job long after others have given up. PT 1000 carries on that tradition.
In Quality and Precision…
Heil’s extensive investment in robotics in recent years is paying big dividends for our customers in stronger weld strength and consistent quality. Taking full advantage of today’s technologies, Heil has also invested in laser fabricators to manufacture parts with tolerances down to mere thousandths of an inch. It means parts on your PT 1000 will fit tighter, weld better, and last longer. These same technological advances create manufacturing efficiencies, as well, that mean Heil rear loaders like the PT 1000 are surprisingly affordable.
In Customer Commitment…
“Build it right, and back it with integrity.” Julius Heil had the right idea 100 years ago, and that principle remains a guiding force today. Heil customer support is legendary, from training to technical support, to simply standing behind our product. Taking that concept to another level, Heil recently became the only American refuse body manufacturer to achieve ISO 9001 certification. From the PT 1000 to every other product we make, it’s further assurance of our long term commitment to your satisfaction.
